Bloganuary Day 30: What do you complain about the most?

Who doesn’t enjoy the therapeutic element of having a bit of a whinge? It can be a helpful way to release some accumulated frustration that builds up during a day.

Four major types of complaining in a workplace are as follows: productive, venting, chronic or malicious. I hadn’t thought of them in different segments before, but it can be helpful to classify what is bothering you, as this may assist in working out steps that can be taken to improve the situation.

One of my main complaints is about waiting. Waiting for an email, a phone call, or for someone to do something are all points of frustration. And I often complain out loud or in my head about it.

But perhaps a slight mindset shift could change how this affects me. Instead of being irritated and restless, maybe I could embrace the pockets of time and space that are created in these limbo moments. By focusing on something else, energy that was previously funnelled into frustrated complaining could be put to better use.
