Five Photos: The Moon

Written by:

Early last week, after a sunset walk with my dog, I saw the moon in the sky and had to try to capture the moment. The full moon had been the night before, but with cloudy skies common in the Blue Mountains, it isn’t always possible to enjoy a clear sky at night.

Glimpses of the moon between scuttling clouds present a different kind of challenge.

The photo below was taken in Lithgow.

Located in the north of Tasmania, this is how the moon looked when I was passing through Launceston a few years ago.

When the moon is reflecting light from the sun, it can be seen during the day.

When was the last time you paused to take a look at the moon?
