Short Poem: Book Shop Girl

Written by:

Chewing ice
Like a cow chews cud
Crunching up a storm
Music blaring
As keyboard’s smacked
Is this the usual form?

An inconvenience
Is how I feel
An unwanted distraction
I sigh
And beat a hasty retreat
An unpleasant interaction

The poem expresses well my feelings about the book shop girl. Well done!

Thank you, Peter! It was quite a therapy session after a short interaction. It stood out as bookshops are usually a sanctuary for the soul ☺️
