There was love to be found in the library
But not in the shelves or the stacks
Not in the reference collection
Or even the paperbacks
Against the hum of conversation
No words exchanged, just a glance
Two hands reaching for one book
Eyes meet and so begins a romance
This was written belatedly in response to a call for 50 words to celebrate love in the local library on Valentine’s Day.

Now I need to know which book they were both reaching for as a book can tell a lot about a person 😉
